Message or nut in an engine bay and have it seemingly disappear.

Three months ago I was working on my antique Mercedes 450SL. I dropped the wingnut that held the air filter in cover in place. I prob spent two hours looking for it, including using the telescopic magnet, mirror, and shop light.

So I replaced the wingnut, but the new one was too shiny, had smaller wings and sharper edges, and didn't have that smooth, soft patina that only comes with age. Stuck out like a sore thumb.

Since then, I've moved the car from storage at my girlfriend's to my new house 15 miles away, taken her on a couple of short joy rides, etc.

Today, I pull her out of the garage for a pic, back her back in, and the wingnut is sitting there on my driveway.

Easily the second best thing that happened to me today :c)
